Definitions

All charges are shown in U.S.D. Charges are assessed individually, each way, and cumulative to other applicable fees unless otherwise stated. Click here for our Contract of Carriage.

Checked Baggage

Checked baggage charges are per piece, each way.

  • Each item exceeding 50 lbs. (22 kgs) is assessed an excess bag fee.
  • Each item exceeding 62 linear inches is assessed an excess bag fee.
  • Items exceeding 70 lbs. are not accepted.

Baggage fees are non-refundable.

For tickets purchased on/after March 10, 2014, checked baggage fees are:

  • 1st bag: $15
  • 2nd bag: $25
  • 3rd bag and any thereafter: $35
  • Excess bag (weight or size): $25
  • Surfboard: $35
  • Bicycle: $35

For tickets purchased before March 10, 2014, checked baggage fees are:

  • 1st bag: $17
  • 2nd bag: $17
  • 3rd bag and any thereafter: $25
  • Excess bag (weight or size): $35
  • Surfboard: $35
  • Bicycle: $35

Booking & Ticketing Fees

Tickets are non-transferable, are valid from one year from date of issue.

Booking Fee

  • Tickets purchased through Reservations over the phone: $15 per Passenger Name Record
  • Tickets purchased at an airport ticket counter: $15 per Passenger Name Record
  • Booking fee is per Passenger Name Record and non-refundable.

Ticket Changes (tickets purchased on/after October 15, 2013)

All changes are subject to a change fee, and are dependent on class of service, original ticketing date, and ticket status. Charges are per segment.

  • $30 for all classes, flight/date change only, no routing change
  • $0 for B and Y class

A difference in fare is collected if passenger’s routing changes.

  • $30 for all classes plus fare difference if routing changes
  • $0 for B and Y class plus fare difference if routing changes

Ticket Changes (tickets purchased before October 15, 2013)

  • $30 for E class, flight/date change only, no routing change
  • $20 for all other classes, flight/date change only, no routing change

Miscellaneous Service Fees

  • Lost ticket: $25
  • Unaccompanied minor age 5-7: $25
  • Unaccompanied minor age 8-12: $25
  • Unaccompanied minor age 8-12 escort to another carrier: $25
  • Age 12-17 escort to another carrier $30

  • Pet as Checked Baggage: $35 for pets up to 50 lbs.; $60 for pets 51-70 lbs

Cloud 9 Program

Award ticket change fee: $30

Tickets must be booked online at IslandAir.com. Once redeemed, miles may not be re-deposited.
