In the event that a prisoner is to be transported on an Island Air flight, an armed law enforcement officer must provide Island Air, in writing, the following: the names of any/all prisoners being transported; whether they are considered high or low risk; a statement that the agency assumes full responsibility of the escorted prisoner(s) and that the officer will remain in control of the escorted prisoner(s) for the duration of the flight(s); and, a statement that the prisoner(s) have not demonstrated violent or dangerous behavior.

This letter can be from the LEO or escorting officer’s organization, and must be sent to the Security Department at at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure.
