Booking flights and checking in bags is completely cash-free. Flights can be processed online, at the airport, or by contacting reservations. Baggage is processed at the airport during check-in. Cash-free transactions ensure a more efficient check-in and make getting to your destination even quicker. All major credit and debit cards accepted including Master Card, Visa, American Express, Japan Credit Bureau (JCB) and Discover.
Island Air assigns seats upon check-in, there is no preselection available. A row and seat number will be printed on your ticket. Flight attendants can assist in locating assigned seats when boarding. Island Air does offer a courtesy pre-boarding opportunity for families with children under the age of 5, military in uniform, and any passengers who may need a little more time and assistance in boarding the aircraft.

There is no charge for one child under 2 years old, accompanied by an adult fare-paying passenger and not occupying a seat. Infants occupying a seat must be placed in an approved infant safety seat. There is no baggage charge for car seats, child booster seats or strollers. Please refer to “Infant on Board” for complete details.
You may bring ONE (1) carry-on bag (not to exceed 16 lbs.) and ONE (1) personal item. All checked bags are limited to a maximum weight of 50 lbs./22 kg. For tickets purchased after November 15, 2016, the first checked bag is assessed a fee of $25 and $35 for each additional bag thereafter. Island Miles members will receive a discounted rate of $15 for the first checked bag, $20 for the second checked bag and $35 for additional checked baggage. Visit our Baggage page for more details.
You are required to check in at least 90 minutes before your scheduled departure and be at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes prior to departure. If you are not present 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure time, your reservation may be canceled (checking in over the phone is not permitted).
Customers are required to cancel their reservation prior to flight departure to avoid loss of the ticket. If not canceled in advance, tickets will not retain value towards future travel as stated in Contract of Carriage Rule 105 – Ticket Validity. Additional fees apply.
